Angelic Home Care Services, Inc. is a home care registry that connects independent caregivers with individuals in need of non-medical home care services. The CAREGIVER will work directly for the CLIENT, and Angelic Home Care Registry, Inc. (1) will not be the employer of the CAREGIVER, (2) will not be responsible for paying the CAREGIVER for services, and (3) will have no obligations regarding governmental compliance or regulatory filings related to the services provided. It is understood that most of our clients treat the caregivers they hire as “independent contractors” and file IRS Form 1099 to report the amounts paid. However, depending on the relationship between the CLIENT and the CAREGIVER, the CLIENT may be considered an “employer” under the law. If so, the client may be held responsible for the payment of federal and state taxes, social security, overtime and minimum wage, unemployment, workers’ compensation insurance payments, and any other applicable payments required under state or federal law. It is essential for you to determine the type of relationship you have with your caregiver. In many cases, you will not be responsible for the aforementioned payments and withholdings. However, if you are uncertain about your responsibilities regarding taxes and payments, consulting a tax professional is advisable to discuss your tax and filing requirements and recommendations for structuring this relationship to meet your needs for governmental compliance.
We also offer payroll services with worker’s compensation on top of everything else we provide, including care, at half the price of our competitors.
